We got to hear of an incident where someone got to a car park barrier and realised that they had made a mistake. On going to reverse they realised that a car was right behind their vehicle. The man got out and asked the other person to reverse. They said that it was too dangerous to do as it meant backing out on to a busy road. The person who made the mistake went into a rant of verbal and threatening abuse. The driver was so taken a back that he backed out getting tooted by other drivers passing by in the process. The man who made the mistake and threats got back into his company branded vehicle, reversed and drove off.
Imagine what that does to a company’s reputation!
Make sure your employees are polite on the road and especially to others as they are your ambassadors for you and your company, whether they are on duty or not.
